Goals

Students involved in Future Problem Solving are challenged and motivated to:

 

  1. Think more creatively by becoming involved in activities to increase the flexibility, fluency, and originality of their thinking
  2.  

  3. Develop research skills needed for the collection of data from both primary and secondary sources
  4.  

  5. Relate effectively with others as members of a small, cohesive team
  6.  

  7. Improve oral and written communication skills for the better understanding of their ideas by others
  8.  

  9. Become interested in the future since this is where they will spend the rest of their lives
  10.  

  11. Solve problems by learning and using effectively a six-step creative problem solving process
  12.  

  13. Think critically and analytically about significant societal issues
